Call for Papers for the special issue of "Nature and Culture" with the title "Human-Animal Relations in Times of Social-Ecological Transformation"

Under the title “Human-Animal Relations in Times of Social-Ecological Transformation,” Marie Leth-Espensen (University of Copenhagen), Marcel Sebastian (TU Dortmund University), and Cameron Whitley (Western Washington University) are editing a special issue of the journal Nature and Culture. The issue will discuss the social-ecological figurations of humans, non-human animals, and their natural environment against the backdrop of social-ecological crises.  

The focus will be on questions such as the role of non-human animals in the emergence and event of socio-ecological crises, the agency of animals in the process of social-ecological transformation, and the dynamics of changes in human-animal relations.
